We are looking for a motivated and serious individual to fill the role of Research Physicist in the Focused Ultrasound Laboratory. General responsibilities will include developing software to interface with a prototype system for focused ultrasound therapy, as well as supporting programming needs across the group.
Research Physicist

Specific responsibilities include:
* Development of software to interface a custom-built therapy system for focused ultrasound experiments
* Development of treatment planning and monitoring software
* Analyzing data from experiments for academic publications and internal reports
* Participation in the preparation of figures and material for grants and publications
Minimum Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering or Physics
* At least 2 years demonstrated experience in interfacing ultrasonics acoustics equipment with computers in MRI-guided Focused Ultrasound
* Experience working with motion control systems for biomedical research
* Experience in design and fabrication of mechanical components
* Expertise in software design, programming
* Experience in finite difference, finite element, spectral element and ray-acoustical methods
* Exceptional computational model development, multi-threading with OpenMP and parallel computing with MPI.
* Proficient in Linux operating systems required to maintain computer clusters
* Strong attention to detail
