Steel and 1st Fix Carpentry services both Commercial & Residential for
several years.
We are currently seeking an experienced and eager WHS Officer to join our company
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
• Advising all Stevens Group employees on matters relating to WHS
• Provide reports as r
equested by Management
• Ensure compliance is meet including completing on line inductions for Builders
• Creating and supplying of SWMS for all Builders
• Conducting monthly Toolbox Meetings with Workshop and Site employees
• Preparing all paperwork for Incidents, Accidents & Investigations,
Including Workcover Claims
• Rehab and Return to Work Coordination
The successful candidate must have:
• Practical approach to WHS
• Previous experience in a similar WHS Role
• Have formal qualifications in OHSW (Essential) Including RRTWC – Or on going
• Demonstrated the ability to communicate with Trades, Suppliers and fellow
employees
• Highly motivated to promote safety to all staff
• Quality control, productivity & motivation is of extreme importance to
all projects & key attributes we look for in all our employees
• A good eye and attention to detail
• Honesty & Integrity
• Must be reliable and maintain a great work ethic
• Experience in providing sound and timely WHS advise
• Understanding and knowledge of Structural Steel Fabrication, Erection and 1st
fix Carpentry would be an advantage
