HEAD OF PRODUCTION
SERVICES (IT)
The Bank is looking for a
seasoned, dynamic, highly-driven IT Executive with strong leadership skills to
undertake the role of Head of Production Services. The incumbent will be
responsible for driving standardization of platforms and solutions; optimising
value derived from internal Group Technology Operations (GTO) and external
service agreements; managing the Infrastructure and Security Teams, and
ensuring that related initiatives and projects are implemented successfully.
Furthermore, the incumbent will
be expected to; promote effective relationships and interaction between
Business Units, especially at an executive level and all IT teams’ providing
services, understanding the client requirements and ensuring the delivery
thereof, and facilitating the resolution of customer queries and or concerns
related to the delivery of technology platforms.
The selected candidate will act
as the integral point of contact in IT for business and the service providers
in GTO, and externally. The purpose is to build a long-term partnership between
IT and Business through consistent infrastructure and technology service
delivery excellence; to minimize risk; and to maximise the scope of service
provision.
Establish an accurate level of
demand from the business units for IT services and match to available solutions
and services. Representing IT in planning and demand forecast reviews. Perform
annual planning and demand forecast reviews. Proactive management of work
initiatives (demand) with business constraints (supply); these include demand
forecasting, planning and order fulfilment.
Furthermore, the incumbent will,
among other things, be responsible for ensuring that appropriate technology
processes and policies are in place, and are aligned to Group policies and
procedures. The candidate will also manage risk and enforce adherence to IT
governance and standards. In addition, they will be responsible for
implementing effective Disaster Recovery Plans, and ensuring alignment with
overall Business Continuity Management Plans. In addition, the Head of
Production Services will be responsible for excellent customer service and
people management.
Requirements
To be considered for this
position, you will need at least a Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field,
and experience in some or all of the following areas:
- IT Security
- Technical Support
- Systems Administration
- Applications Support
- Electronic Banking/Channels Support
- Programming and Project Management
At least seven years’ experience
at Senior Management Level is required for this position. Experience in Banking
would be an added advantage.
