In 1999, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe began to serve as the Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East; and served until 2003.

These are just a few of the many achievements Senator Akpanudoedehe recorded in the Senate; so on the whole, he could be said to have delivered well in his legislative duties, and in taking democracy dividends to constituents of his Senatorial District.
