SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda is a
non-governmental organisation that has been working to meet the needs and
protect the interests and rights of children since 1979.
We are currently seeking applications from well
qualified and self-motivated person to fill the position of 2 Field Officers
for HIV/AIDS Project Kayonza. The Family Strengthening Programme aims at
enabling children who are at risk of losing the care of their family to grow up
within a caring family environment.

Job location: SOS Family Strengthening Programme Kayonza
Basic function of the position
Under the overall guidance of the FSP coordinator
Kayonza, Field Officers will catty out the following functions:
  • Support and ensure the implementation of
    project activities
  • Develop work plan for project implementation
  • Provide social services and support to improve
    the social and psychological functioning of vulnerable children and their
    families
  • Assess the beneficiaries needs and offer
    assistance to improve their situation
  • Liaise with partners’ organization and local
    communities
  • Support the capacity building in target group
  • Ensure the dissemination of information,
    education, communication messages on child rights to the target population
  • Offering information and Counseling support to
    enable target group to lead the fullest lives possible
  • Maintaining accurate records and preparing
    reports
  • Advocate for improved services
Profile
  • Rwandese nationality
  • A bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology
    and development studies
  • Proficiency in English and Kinyarwanda
    including reading, speaking and writing skills is required. Knowledge of
    French is an added value
  • Good knowledge of computer applications – Age:
    between 28 and 45 year old
  • Significant experience of at least 3 years in
    a related field ( social work, psychology )
  • Experience within the child right’s sector
    with understanding of community case management for child protection
    issues
