Our client is a global provider of mobile messaging and social media applications. They are seeking for Software Engineer (Telco) to be based in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
• To lead, participate and help provide high quality releases with growing number of global customers and deployments.
• To help design, architect and build the next generation of the company’s voice & video platform
• To lead and mentor other members of the engineering team
• To work with customers and partners to come up with innovative solutions to meet customer requirements.
• To investigate, troubleshoot and provide resolution to customer reported problems
• To evaluate, design and integrate third-party software with the company’s solutions.
Requirements:
• BS/ MS in Computer Science, Engineering
• 2 – 5 years of SS7 or VoIP telephony software, distributed system, messaging application, and product development experience
• Strong architectural skills and an ability to see the big picture of component based architecture and integration requirements with external systems
• Strong database application design and development experience, particularly with MySQL
• Candidate comfortable both with C++ and Java in a Linux environment a plus
• Strong debugging skills and understanding of performance issues in distributed communication and database systems
• Experience with VoIP (SIP/RTP) protocols, implementation, and testing is helpful; prior programming experience with SS7 communication protocol is a plus
• Familiarity with asynchronous messaging
• Experience with telecom billing system or industry standard Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) frameworks such as Radius and/or Diameter
• Internationalization / localization development experience is a plus
• Experience in programming with industrial standards like VXML, HP OpenCall or BEA WebLogic Communications Platforms is helpful.
• Experience with source control systems like SVN and CVS and defect tracking systems like Trac, Bugzilla as well as knowledge of branching, tagging is a must
• Singaporean or PR preferred.
