Housekeepers

Purpose: To provide SSCAS members
with an affordable and efficient house cleaning service

Duties:

• Maintain
  contact with SSCAS office regarding availability
• Clean
  the residence to the member’s satisfaction (see housecleaning duties form)
  
• Accept
  referrals for the services
• Notify
  members directly when you are assigned and arrange the times you will be
  working in their homes. If you cannot make the appointment please call and
  arrange another time (if possible).
• Contact
  the office if the member requests additional duties not as assigned
• Contact
  the SSCAS office if there are any problems
• Contact
  SSCAS immediately if you encounter any abuse from the member
• Collect
  your fee $30.00 for two hours ($15.00/hour) directly from the member
• Follow
  and review the “Guidelines for Service Providers” distributed
  each January
• Attend
  the Annual General Meeting of SSCAS (held the end of April)

Qualifications:

• Service
  Providers must be members of the SSCAS – $12.00 a year
• Must
  sign a Waiver of Liability Form
• Skills
  in one or more of the service areas
• Good
  language and communication skills
• Enjoy
  working with seniors
• Pleasant
  and patient disposition

Preferred
Commitment:
Minimum six months; hours per week will depend on your availability and number
of requests received in the office.
