I live in a small cabin in the boreal forest with nine husky sled dogs.
Location: 30 km south of La Ronge SK.
I am looking for an interested Swapper to babysit my dogs for two weeks while I
am away hiking in the Rockies. Come a week early to get to know the dogs before
I go away. The dogs are very well socialized. I offer a daily wage of $60 for 3
hours of work per day, plus room and board, use of vehicle, membership in the
local canoe
club, and access to numerous outside activities. Facilities at home
are very basic, no running water, no electricity. Lots of bugs (mosquitos and
blackflies). My friends will check on you when I am away to make sure you are
doing ok and are not too isolated. It will be a unique experience for you but
it will be tough in some ways too. Resilient happy people will get a lot out of
this opportunity.
