Reporting directly to the Head of Global Security based in the U.S., this position is responsible for managing the security program for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), by coordinating implementation of global initiatives, administering projects and providing operational support to the business units and functions within these regions. The manager will be responsible for devising cost-effective and client-oriented security initiatives designed to implement the global standard for security and business continuity.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and manage implementation of Global Security and Business Continuity Standards, policies and procedures. Ensure the program is aligned with the regions’ overall business objectives in conjunction with the regional business management and staff.
• Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures and standards for identifying and protecting intellectual property assets, personnel, property, facilities or operations, from intentional or unintentional harm.
• Provide direct support to properties within the region, by way of managing security-related incidents, some investigations and crisis-management incidents.
• Develop relationships with key government and law enforcement agencies, intelligence communities, private sector counterparts and vendors to maintain security support services for division.
• Specifically support and drive the following global security initiatives: physical security standards, the Global Travel Security Program, crisis management training and background screening and investigations.
• Manage relationships with and performance of security consultants and vendors engaged on behalf of the division.
• Provide regular interaction with regional, site and platform senior management teams to discuss security strategy and business initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• At least 10 years of security management experience of implementing security policies and requirements in a manner consistent with business and legal imperatives and internal / external cultural nuances in EMEA.
• Must possess broad global experience in the key areas of investigations and protective services, as well as managerial experience in public/private security programs, and functional knowledge and expertise in core competencies of security operations, crisis management and investigations.
• Must be an independent thinker, capable of identifying emerging security issues and recommending appropriate programmatic solutions to them.
• Be able to work alone and be self-reliant, demonstrating the ability to set challenging personal goals and the drive and determination to achieve them.
• Be able to deliver timely, unequivocal decisions and adjust priorities in rapidly changing circumstances.
• Possess the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English.
• Extensive and frequent travel throughout the EMEA regions required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATONS
• Possesses strong leadership skills, demonstrated in a position of substantial responsibility that required management of a geographically disparate and remote staff.
• Possesses previous experience in the commercial sector.
• Possesses strong inter-personal skills.
• Possesses ability to influence at all levels, gain trust of business leaders and others to discuss and respond to sensitive issues.
• Possess CISSP or CPP certification.
• Proficiency in additional languages
