Wise Strategic Communication is a Kabul-based research and media firm which specializes in public opinion analysis, nation-wide surveys, public relations , PR and marketing campaigns. Since its establishment in 2008,
WSC has been serving NGOs, INGOs, ISAF, GIRoA, USFOR, UN agencies, USAID, and many other government and non-governmental institutions. In addition to its HQs staffs, WSC employs over 500 field workers across 34 provinces. WSC research team comprises of experienced Afghan researchers and highly trained international experts with advanced degrees in research and analysis.
Job Summary:
• Help to a network of 500 plus field and HQ staffs from Research Department
• Train HQ and field staffs occasionally
• Write research designs in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies
• Write proposals, especially methodology, to bid various RFPs and RFQs
• Write qualitative and quantitative analyses
• Coordinate senior consultants based in Europe and the United States
• Implement and manage research projects throughout 34 provinces of Afghanistan
• Manage staff allocation and fieldwork assignment during projects
• Supervise project expenditures
• Write fieldwork and project-specific guidelines for HQ and field staffs
• Implement quality control during fieldwork, data management and data analysis
• Interface with various clients throughout project implementation
• Report directly to CEO/Chief of Staff
Qualification:
• Minimum 5 years of research experiences with at least 1 years of field research in conflict zones
• An advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.), preferably in political science, Conflict analysis, public health, public policy, or a related field is required
• Thorough understanding of population-based research (polling, survey, M&E, focus group, interviews) is required
• Proficiency in SPSS/CSPro/Stata and Excel is required; GIS and ATLAS.ti capability preferred
• Project management experience required
• Proposal writing experience required
• Familiarity of USAID-funded projects and working experience with the US military preferred
• Afghanistan experience preferred
• Business development experience preferred
