The Finance and Grants Intern Role is a learning & development opportunity for an individual with good systems, numeracy and inter-personal skills. This role will provide support to the Humanitarian Finance & Grants department with exposure to a mixture of every day work in the department and some special one-off projects. It is envisaged that the work will have a systems component (review and manipulation of data, development of reports etc) and link to a variety of other departments within Save the Children UK, at Head Office, Regional Office and Country Office level.
The role has clear objectives and measureable milestones and will aim to develop the capacity of the post holder’s skills in both basic finance and grants management. These skills will be transferable to other departments within SCUK and the wider NGO community.
During the internship there will be an opportunity to attend Save the Children’s compulsory induction courses to get a wider understanding of how we work practically and theoretically in humanitarian emergencies .
We anticipate the successful candidate will work between 3-5 working days as agreed between the successful candidate and line manager.
