The
role
role
To
provide a professional, value added support service to the Head of Management
Accounts and central office budget-holder by:

- producing accurate monthly
management accounts - assisting understanding of actual
vs budget management reports - providing ‘early warning’ signals
if numbers are not on track - being the finance support in any
decision-making - partnering with budget holders in
the production of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts - reviewing Regional Office costs
compared to budgets and reforecasts - supporting project work including
Agresso systems development and / or implementation of KPIs and Balance
Scorecard in the consolidated management accounts
Required
skills and experience
skills and experience
- qualified accountant (ACCA, ACMA,
ACA) - strong analytical skills �
the ability to analyse complex financial data and design and produce
effective management information. - experience of budgeting, budget
management and forecasting - a thorough understanding of
financial systems and procedures - excellent IT literacy including
expertise in spreadsheet modelling and analysis and in the use of visual
basic for analysis and reporting - applies personal organisation
strategies and processes to prioritise and effectively manage a large and
diverse workload in a pressured environment, working to short and
long-term objectives - strong time management skills with
an ability to plan ahead, anticipate requirements, problems and obstacles,
and an ability to juggle competing priorities successfully, and to work to
tight deadlines - strong communication skills,
including the ability to convey complex financial information to
non-finance professionals - conscientious and customer
focussed, wanting to help budget holders - the ability to influence others,
to liaise with a wide range of people at all levels and across different
cultures and to act with credibility, tact and diplomacy - verbal and written fluency in
English. The ability to work in a second language would be a strong
advantage - highly skilled analyst, able to
deliver quality management information to tight timescales - thorough �
high attention to detail and takes pride in delivering accurate, high
quality work. - maintains a calm disposition and
