Joining SA Pathology
at the Noarlunga site, you will contribute to the provision of a high quality
diagnostic pathology service. Performing specialised and complex tests and
routine tests if and when required, with pa
rticular emphasis on management and
control of all incoming pathology, you will participate in test development and
application of improved methodologies within the laboratory. Participating in
all activities related to test performance, resulting and training of
scientific and technical staff, you may be expected to assume responsibility
for supervising a designated area of the laboratory in the absence of the
Supervising Scientist. Participation in an after hours service, general
laboratory services and clerical duties will be expected. As part of our small
friendly team in a multidisciplinary laboratory, you will be able to enjoy
working in a metropolitan area within close proximity to semi rural areas.

You will hold a
Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science)
degree or an equivalent qualification, and have previous in the performance of
routine diagnostic pathology tests in transfusion. You will also have the
ability to develop, implement and evaluate new techniques and procedures and
review and improve existing techniques. Your positive attitude and good verbal
and written communication skills will hold you in good stead, along with your
ability to work as a member of a small team, and on an individual basis.
Appointment will be subject
to a satisfactory Department of Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI)
