The Post is on Grade 5
Objective:
Under the supervision of the Personnel Administration Division Head, the HR
Officer in charge of compensation is responsible for preparing monthly payroll,
effecting deductions on salaries and computing terminal benefits for staff
resigning or retiring.
Mains duties and Responsibilities
1. Assist Head of payroll in payroll preparation.
2. To prepare correctly on a monthly basis payroll
modification, information to update the payroll and submit it to the head of
payroll.
3. To check the first preliminary summary of payroll against
payroll modifications of the month and write any corrections to be made by the
Head of Payroll.
4. To correctly prepare terminal benefits of RRA staff and
submitted to the Head of Payroll.
5. Processing and issuing of staff identifications
6. To prepare correctly staff documents regarding loan
requisition and submit them to the Head of Payroll.
7. In writing, notify the bank in the event where a staff
member terminates his/her employment contract.
8. Attend to different issues regarding salaries and other
benefits;
Job Specifications;
Qualification : Bachelors degree in Human Resource
Management and knowledge in Payroll software and other HR soft wares is added
advantage
Experience : At least 2 years working experience, on payroll in
large organization.
Skills and Abilities:
¬ Good organization skills; Arithmetical and accountancy
knowledge
¬ Process and procedures design skills; HR packages with
focus on payroll
¬ Negotiation skills
¬ Able to follow process and procedures
¬ Budgeting skills
¬ MS Office
