Currently
we looking for the Advisor to COO (1) post. The successful candidate among
others will provide advice to the COO and perform work of broad scope and
complexity under the direction of COO.  He/she will provides leadership to
further the strategic agenda of the COO
Ensure
efficient and effective functioning of the COO’s Office – internally and in its
interactions with external stakeholders and will provide to the COO all the
required support in his day to day activities.  Interested and eligible

Specific
tasks and responsibilities:
  • Provide
    strategic advice to the COO
  • Support
    COO to manage strategic partnerships
  • Coordinate
    information flows, planning, work allocation and reporting in the COO’s
    Office across different Departments/Offices
  • Monitor
    progress and ensure timely delivery on projects and tasks of the COO’s
    office across different units
  • Lead
    on delivering certain projects and tasks of the COO’s office 
  • Represent
    the COO at meetings and respond to correspondence on COO’s behalf
  • Review
    and quality control of briefings and reports going to COO
  • Initiate,
    design and implement new systems and processes in the COO’s office
  • Assist
    the COO in any task for which help is required
  • Liaise
    with the RDB’s administration and external stakeholders to collect and
    analyse/classify information to report to COO.
  • Communicate
    COO’s decisions and monitor their implementation.
  • Works
    closely with the COO in support of issues that require specific follow-up
    and handles special tasks as assigned by the COO.
Job
requirements, qualifications and experience:
  •  
    Master’s Degree or Equivalent in Business or Economics Studies, with 1
    year of working experience or A0 in Law with 3 years of working
    experience.
  • Experience
    in value chains management
  • Good
    Understanding of the Rwandan Investment climate and export system
  • Knowledge
    and experience in RDB’s products and services.
  • Analytical,
    problem-solving, leadership and critical thinking skills.
  • Flexible
    with ability to work well with both internal and external clients.
  • Good
    presentation skills, and ability to communicate with various audiences,
    including end users, managers, and Senior Management team.
  • Self-starter
    with leadership skills in order to take charge in facilitating the office
    needs
  • Sound
    computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products and
    reliable knowledge in financial systems
  • Proven
    ability to write in a clear and concise manner and effective oral
    communication skills
  • Should
    ideally be competent in Kinyarwanda and be bilingual with a strong command
    in either of the languages (English or French)
