The Rwanda Revenue Authority is seeking to recruit self-motivated and qualified persons to fill the following position:
Job title: Legal Officers (2 positions)The Post is on Grade 5 Under the supervision of the Head of Section Legal & Appeals Unit, the Legal Officer assists in the interpretation and application of tax legislation.
Responsibilities:
– Prepares legislation amendments;
– Interprets international, regional laws and conventions;
– Provides legal advice to RRA and other customers;
– Respond to correspondences brought to the attention of the Legal and Appeals Section
– Prepares proposals for changes to tax regulations and procedures;
– Provides information on tax laws and regulations;
– Provides legal advice on contracts between RRA and other contracting parties.
– Participates in disciplinary committee meetings;
Job specification
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Law.
Experience: 2 years experience within RRA or elsewhere in legal issues
Skills:
– To interpret and apply laws;
– To write law amendments;
– Communication skills.
– Computer skills
