LOCATION: IFAKARA IN KILOMBERO DISTRICT
REPORT TO: PROJECT COORDINATOR
Purpose of Position
Full responsible for coordination of all OVC activities for the RC Mahenge
Pamoja Tuwalee
program, including, planning, designing, implementation, documentation,
providing supportive supervision to volunteers, Most Vulnerable
Children Committee (MVCC) and networking with the DSWO and other key
stakeholders working with children in the Kilombero District.
Full responsible for coordination of all OVC activities for the RC Mahenge
Pamoja Tuwalee
program, including, planning, designing, implementation, documentation,
providing supportive supervision to volunteers, Most Vulnerable

Specifically OVC Focal person will do the
following;
1. Provide guidance in OVC care and support activities to the community
volunteers, MVCC and other stakeholders through supportive supervision,
mentoring and coaching.
2. Ensure that National standards, policies and
guidelines on OVC care and support are
implemented and understood by all
volunteers through meetings, trainings and
supportive supervision
3. Collaborate with other technical partners
towards integration of other aspects of
MVC support not addressed by program
4. Assist Volunteers and MVCC to link MVC
caretakers in economic strengthening
intervention
5. Support and ensure effective program
implementation and comply with timely
monthly, quarterly progress and annual
reports regarding program support and

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities may
be acquired through a combination of formal
schooling, self-education, prior experience, or onthe-
job training:
1. Diploma/Bachelor in social work,
community development, sociology
teaching or relater field
2. Experience of working with children at the
local level at least for one year
3. Have basic computer knowledge
4. Interest of working with stressed children
5. Spoken and written English. Swahili is a
must
6. Understanding of OVC issues and how they
relate to HIV/AIDS
