Situated within the College of Science, Engineering and Health, the School of
Medical Sciences has a staff complement of approximately 100 staff plus
sessional staff. With expertise in the areas of Cell Biology and Anatomy,
Exercise Sciences, Laboratory Medicine, Medical Radiations, Pharmaceutical
Sciences and Pharmacy, and our strong links with industry and government, we
strive to ensure that all our programs meet the changing needs of industry and
employers.

We are currently seeking a Professor, Associate Professor or Senior Lecturer of
Exercise Physiology and Pharmacology to develop, engage in and lead high
quality research as well as teaching with an emphasis on drug use in sport We
are seeking excellence in developing, implementing and reviewing strategic
research projects, a strong track record of publications in high impact journals,
attracting research funding to produce high quality outputs, and an outstanding
contribution to leadership in scholarly research and professional activities
are expected from potential applicants.

The position assists the School in maintaining teaching and learning excellence
and developing new programs for on-shore and off-shore delivery and the
successful candidate will provide leadership in scholarly research and
professional activities. Possible specific research areas include drugs in
sport and drug analytics.

To ensure your success in this role and dependant on your appointment level you
will have proven experience managing major research projects and the ability to
develop innovative approaches to course delivery and student-centred learning.
You will also possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to
consult, build and maintain productive networks within and external to the
organisation.

The School has excellent teaching and research facilities and is willing to
negotiate a start-up package to assist in the establishment of relevant
research activities.
