This post will
support Restless Development implement its livelihood and career development
project which aims to will m
ake education more relevant to future employment
opportunities in Tanzania. And also support the development of strategic
partnerships with government and civil society at the local level. You will
work closely with our Next Generation of Leaders Assistant Project Coordinator
to encourage and bring evidence of involvement and engagement of young people
in determining their careers and livelihood. You will build strategic
partnerships with local government, heads of schools, teachers and other
stakeholders to enhance the role of young people in making Education More
Relevant to Future Employment
You will be a
talented individual who is committed to youth led development and passionate
about promoting participatory approaches education and career development
through learning. You will have previous experience in working education
sector, career, and youth development (or other target groups). You will be an
excellent communicator (verbal and written) in English and Swahili, and will
demonstrate confidence and tact in working with our stakeholders. You will be a
talented self-starter who can work as part of a team, and be committed to our
mission and values.

Support the
Programme Coordinator to deliver the education improvement project in Lindi,

and forums relevant to our work with the Programme Coordinator, especially at a
regional, district and ward/village level in Lindi
Take the lead on
working with our partner organisations in the target schools and institutions
Engage in raising
the profile of the project through social media and ICT (for example radio,
blogs etc)
Represent Restless
Development Tanzania (with support from Programme Coordinator) at key local and
regional events, forums and meetings ensuring opportunities for young people to
lead are created
With support from
Programme Coordinator, develop relationships with the media, civil society and
social media platforms to enable our key messages to be shared in local and
national spaces

Support Restless
Development to build on grassroots evidence, programme and partner experiences
and in line with our national strategy
Submit accurate and
timely programme quality reports to Assistant Project Coordinator on a monthly
basis as per the monitoring and evaluation system
Finance and
Administration
Responsible for
accounting and use of funds and assets at a field level in line with Restless
Development policies and procedures
All the time as
Restless Development intern you should ensure that all expenditure is spent
appropriately receipted, recorded and submitted in a timely manner
Work with the
Programme Coordinator to ensure that all funds spent on activities in the field
are spent as per policies and procedures, as that assets are used and accounted
for properly.
Managing records for
the fund used by volunteers in the project
HR and
Performance Management
To effectively work
with youth clubs and Youth Entrepreneurship Groups as part of the project.
Participate in and
support team meetings and organizational events in Lindi
s code of conduct,
policies and standards are understood and adhered to in practice by all our
volunteers and stakeholders

Holder of a
University Degree or Diploma in a relevant field
Desirable
Technical expertise
in IT, Development Studies, Entrepreneurship or social sciences

A strong personal
commitment to the aims, values and methods of Restless Development Tanzania
A clear
understanding of contemporary development issues facing young people in
Tanzania particularly in employment and livelihood
