Job Title: Research Fellow (Trade & Regional Integration)
Main Duties:
– Undertake empirical policy research and analysis in trade, regional integration and multi-lateral arrangements.
– Engage in commissioned work for and on behalf of the Centre.
– Based on research findings and sound analysis, contribute to national discourse.
Requirements:
– Minimum of Master’s degree by coursework & research in Economics from a recognized university with a strong bias in trade and economic integration issues.
– Recent graduate of doctoral degree in (a) shall be added advantage.
– Comprehensive knowledge of, and ability to apply modern economic theory and methods
– Strong analytical skills.
– Proven high level writing skills as primary author in published research papers, review etc
– Evidence of publication of own written articles in either local or international journals
– Demonstrated ability to use trade analytical tools such as GTAP, Linkage, MACMAP, Gravity Model, ATPSM, WITS, Trade Sift and TRIST.
– A minimum of six years working experience in relevant public or private sector institutions, three of which should be in policy-oriented work.
– Demonstrated ability to use STATA, EViews, GAMS or GAUSS for data analysis
– Unquestionable integrity.
