Recommendations

From
the research work the following recommendations are drawn;
1.    Health education programmes aimed at pre-retirement
groups, the young people should be encourage by government and health
professionals.
2.    The elderly people should limit their intake of
energy–dense food such as fats and sweets and take adequate amounts of
protein-rich foods.

3.    Intervention programmes should be encouraged
especially among the older elderly population.
4.    Nutritionists and health professionals should be
aware of the factors affecting feeding habits of the elderly in order that an
effective educational programme may be planned.
5.    The elderly should try and make adjustments on
their feeding patterns to meet their nutrient requirements.
