This is a great opportunity for the successful applicant to discover the ancient and breathtaking Kimberley Region of Western Australia. Kununurra is the Gateway to the East Kimberley, and a mecca for 4WD travellers. It is a small agricultural and tourism town surrounded by unique natural wonders such as the world heritage listed Bungle Bungle National Park, the Ord River and Lake Argyle, the largest freshwater lake in Australia. It is also home to the famous Argyle Pink Diamond.
The Pump House Restaurant is situated on the edge of the Ord River in Kununurra. The owners have converted the original Pump Station, constructed in 1961, into a restaurant, paying particular attention to the preservation of its historical integrity.
The Restaurant is the realization of a dream by the owners to maintain a quality restaurant in this unique setting. We require an experienced Food and Beverage Attendant, to join our vibrant team, starting in February for the 2012 season.
The successful applicant should have:
• The ability to assist the manager in day to day operations
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Have great interpersonal skills and be an effective team member
• Have pride and passion in your work and a strong work ethic
• Be flexible depending on the business needs
• Be able to use your initiative and time management practices
• Food and wine experience is essential. Formal Hospitality qualifications would be beneficial.
