Medical Detailer – Mzuzu – PSI Malawi

Manage territory of private sector health care providers (clinics) and
pharmaceutical product sales and distribution channels (pharmacies and drug
shops: and wholesalers)


Manage territory of private sector health care providers in and out of Tunza
clinics, and pharmaceutical product sales and distribution channels including
pharmacies, drug shops, and wholesalers, develop and maintain good
relationships with the franchised and non-franchised private sector providers,
map health facilities in the franchise target regions and continuously update
the health facility database, Gather market intelligence in the region and to
determine the marketing strategy and media to be used to promote sales, Assist
the Communication team in drawing up the appropriate market strategies and
implementing them in the region , Ensure that promotional programs are
implemented by Franchises and that signs and promotional materials are
supplied, properly displayed and in good condition, Arrange training and
promotional meetings, seminars and medical camps and to cooperate with the
Training Officer in conducting them, Ensue that all outlets carryout
stocking and ordering procedures and receive supplies of products in a timely
manner, Submit regular reports on Franchise performance, vis-à-vis sales and
promotional programs and to recommend corrective action – e.g. special
promotions, when sales are below target, Complement the Training Officer and
the Quality assurance Officer in ensuring that Franchises are in compliance and
that their performance enhances the brand.

Minimum of diploma in sales and marketing or professional certification in relevant
area an d2 yrs of experience of relevant experience, Good resource mobilisation
skill, Good experience in working with different teams, Excellent oral and
written communication and negotiation skills, Skills to analyse, interpret and
assist to solve difficult problems, Be  a self starter, effective team
player an demonstrated verifiable a result oriented track record, Must possess
valid driving licence.
