After being named National Geographic Adventurer of the Month in July 2025, Prince Bruce has continued to evolve, not just as a traveler, but as a visionary redefining what exploration truly means. Once driven by the goal of visiting 100 countries, he is now shifting toward something far more intentional: raw, immersive, and uncommon experiences in places few people travel.
We caught up with Prince to talk about what’s next.
Since being named National Geographic Adventurer of the Month in July, what have you been up to?
I have been expanding my travels and focusing more on meaningful experiences, meeting amazing people, staying in hostels, and spending time with locals. Honestly, I have just been enjoying the moment and taking a bit of a break. But now, I am shifting gears and planning a few unique trips.
You originally had a goal of visiting 100 countries. Has that vision changed?
Yeah, completely. At first, my goal was to visit as many countries as possible before turning 30, almost like checking them off a list. But now, I want something different.
I want to travel to places that challenge me, places where I do not understand the language, where no one speaks English, and where I am completely out of my comfort zone. I want a real culture shock.
What kind of destinations are you drawn to now?
I am drawn to countries like Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, China, Rwanda, and Suriname, places where I can have a truly immersive experience.
I am grateful for the 44 countries I have already visited, but now I want to switch things up and go off the beaten path. Those are the experiences that stay with you. That is where you really learn.
What is next for you? Any upcoming travel plans or major goals?
What is next is more intentional and more extreme in terms of travel. I am planning journeys that combine adventure, culture, and personal growth. It is about putting myself in environments that force me to adapt and evolve.
I want every trip to mean something, not just a stamp in my passport.
Are there any specific projects or endeavors you are particularly excited about?
Yes, I am really excited about going to Antarctica. It is something I have wanted to do for a long time. Visiting the seventh continent feels like a whole different level of exploration.
What message do you want to share with people who are following your journey?
Do cool stuff. Stop chasing comfort.
Growth does not happen where everything is easy, it happens when you are uncomfortable, when you do not have all the answers.
Any advice for people who have not solo traveled before or feel too comfortable where they are?
Start small, but start. You do not have to go to the other side of the world right away, but put yourself in a new environment where you have to figure things out on your own.
Solo travel teaches you confidence, independence, and how to adapt. Once you experience that, you realize how much you are capable of.
Do not let comfort hold you back. There is a whole world out there waiting for you.
