According to President Muhammadu Buhari, the 2019 election will show the will of the Nigeria people in terms of their choice of leadership. He made this statement in the occasion of the receipt of Credence Letter from the Finland Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr. Jyrki Juhani Pulkkinen.
President Muhammadu Buhari who is also seeking re-election into the presidential seat in the February 16, 2019general election under the umbrella of the All Progressive Congress (APC)stated that all efforts are being explore to ensure that the will of the people are safeguard by making sure that the process is free and fair.
He stated that Nigerians should be confident that their votes will count and their preferred candidates will emerge victorious. He also stated that Nigerians should look up to a greater Nigeria in the days to come.
The president also ceased the opportunity to send a congratulatory message to the ambassador and the people of Finland on their 101 independence anniversary which was celebrated of 6thDecember, 2018. He also expressed gratitude over the wonderful relationship enjoyed between Nigeria and Finland in terms of trade, education and Information Communication Technology (ICT).
Dr. Jyrki Juhani Pulkkinen commended President Muhammadu Buhari in his efforts to steer the country to a greater height and also added that relationship of Nigeria and Finland could be extended to crisis management, smart technology, electricity generation and distribution of electricity and exchanges in trade figures.
The ambassador stated that Nigeria being the biggest country in Africa has a very great potential for economic development and Finland is interested in contributing their quota to the economic development of the country.
The Ambassador of France, Mr.Jerome Pasquier also gave a Letter of Credence to President Muhammadu Buhari and delivers a message of the French President to show appreciation for the wonderful relationship existing among the two countries.
According to Mr. Jerome Pasquier,the president of France, President Emmanuel Macron has promised to continue with his support for Nigeria especially in the gathering and sharing intelligence in the war against the Boko Haram Terrorist Group. He also acknowledged and commended President Muhammadu Buhari’s role in the resolution of crises in Guinea Bissau and Togo.
The Czech Republic ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Marek Skolil also presented a Letter of Credence to President Muhammadu Buhari, expressing the commitment of Czech Republic to Nigeria in the improvement of economic relationship especially in the area of explorations of solid minerals. He also assured President Muhammadu Buhari of the commitment of his country to support Nigeria in the fight against the Boko Haram Terrorist Group.
