Our client, a leading provider of software services is looking to hire a Support
and Services Engineer for their Melbourne CBD branch office.
This role will see you perform hands on skills and provide IT support both
local and remote across all their Australian branch offices. The role will be
split between around 50% hands on and remote support and 50% systems and
project work. It is essential that you will be willing to take on more
responsibility, over time, in terms of managing external clients and performing
3rd level internal and external support duties.
The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously and will need very
minimal supervision. The role will suit an individual who thrives off
technology and working across multiple tasks from help desk through to project
work.
Key skills required:
• Imaging software such as Ghost/Acronis True Image and preparation of SOEs for
desktops
• Windows XP/7 Ent,
• Office 2010
• Symantec Endpoint Protection in Corporate Environments – Setup, maintenance
& response to events
• MS ADDS
• Windows 2003/2008R2 Server
• Fault diagnosis for workstation and server hardware
Nice to have skills:
• SQL 2005/2008/2008R2/2012
• Cisco IP Telephony basic admin
• ARCserve 15 and above
• VMware and virtualisation platforms
