Description:
A position for a Postdoctoral Researcher is now open in the field of chromosome
biology in the newly established Chromosome Stability research group led by
Academy Research Fellow Liisa Kauppi. The post will be filled as soon as a
suitable candidate is identified. Research in the Kauppi group focuses on
understanding mechanisms of DNA repair, recombination and chromosome
segregation in mammalian mitosis and meiosis. Several exciting projects are
available, including investigating how DNA rearrangements arise in tumors, and
the genetic requirements of normal spindle checkpoint function.
