Working in 50 developing countries across Africa,

The latest Country Strategic Plan for Liberia has
been approved for the period 2010 – 2015. Currently the country programme
reaches an estimated 150,486 children in four programme areas. It has a
portfolio of twenty active grants with a budget of $5,284,354 for FY14.

You will be responsible for ensuring the following;
- Plan’s work will be based on an excellent
analysis of the needs of the most vulnerable children in the country and
the subsequent strategic choices of programming interventions. - Plan’s work will be delivered in a
cost-effective and efficient way through a highly qualified team, skilled
in their area of expertise and compliant with the expectations as well as
the policies and procedures established by Plan. - Plan in Liberia has adequate Disaster Risk
Management capacities in place to respond to emergency situations that
affect the rights of children. - Plan’s work will be well funded.
- Plan will be a credible national actor,
accountable to beneficiaries and other stakeholders inside and outside of
the country, and an influential organisation promoting the rights and
needs of highly vulnerable children in Liberia. - Key achievements, programme learning and
technical know-how of Plan Liberia will be shared with fellow Country
Offices to improve programme quality and operational efficiency throughout
the region and the organisation as a whole.
You will be a highly experienced leader with proven
skills in the development and management of effective and motivated teams. With
demonstrable knowledge of the key debates around development programming and
previous success fundraising with a variety of sources you will bring passion,
determination, and fresh thinking to our work, with the aim of expanding both
our reach and our impact, and making change work for millions of children.
