Duties and Responsibilities
• Facilitate fun, educational experiences with campers in nature
• Co-lead groups of up to 10 campers with fellow staff
• Assist in program planning and development
• Participate in morning and afternoon prep and debrief meetings with all
staff.
• Take on a role delivering big picture.
• Assist in developing camp culture by leading and participating in skits,
songs and games
• Commit to in professional development and skill building in and outside of
camp
• Participate in community skill building events
• Be prepared to work outside in all weather.
Positions
The position you are hired for at p.i.n.e. will be determined by your fit with
the qualifications outlined below and your length and level of experience

• Counseling Staff: 7 week contract- $2,250.00
• Assistant Instructor: 7 week contract- $900- stipend
• Intern: 7 week volunteer contract with access to free training and courses
throughout the year (see below)
• Volunteer: The volunteer program at P.I.N.E. is a 1-2 week opportunity for
individuals to develop naturalist, wilderness and leadership skills while
gaining entry level experience with P.I.N.E
BONUS: All staff and intern positions will gain access to discounted courses,
and those hired by January 15th will be eligible for our extensive 6month
training program
Qualifications:
p.i.n.e. is committed to hiring people that represent diverse walks of life and

Mandatory Qualifications:
• Up to date Police Vulnerable Sectors Check
• Up to date First-aid certification. (Wilderness First Aid preferred- WFR/
WAFA through Wilderness Medical Associates)
• Experience working with children in a mentorship role
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of wild edible and medicinal plants
• Beginner to advanced naturalist knowledge of local ecosystems
• Participated in wilderness skills intensive program, or have equivalent
knowledge from time spent outdoors
• Experienced in wildlife tracking
• Experience with the P.I.N.E. Project (have participated in at least 3 tracking
clubs)
• Have been educated in a naturalist based program: Formal education or
otherwise
Assets:
• Background in theatre, music, or the creative arts
• Participated in/ volunteered at traditional skills gatherings (i.e.
Headwaters)
• Experience in land restoration/ stewardship.
• Graduate of the Art of Mentoring program
