Safety Officer
Sarawak
Responsibilities:
• Familiar with occupational health and safety standards.
• Ensure that site and relevant machineries, permits and licenses comply with the safety and health guidelines (i.e JKKP, DOE etc)
• Liaise with operations team in implementing effective and practical solutions that lead to a safe working culture
• Promote safety awareness among construction site workers
• Collect, analyze and maintain statistics on any accident, dangerous occurrence and Occupational disease occurred at the place of work
• Take proactive measures to reduce hazards at the work place and to prevent any possibilities of future occurrences of incidences and accidents
• Conduct risk analysis, investigate incidents, recommend corrective and preventive measures
Requirements:
• Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health Recognized as a Safety & Health Officer with DOSH/JKKP.
• Registered with JKKP and the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) as a competent Health and Safety Officer
• Minimum 5 years working experience in construction line
• Positive attitude, able to work under pressure and independently
• Computer literate, proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia
