Project Accountant – Engineering
This is a finance and administration role integrated within an engineering department where you will be responsible for Financial Management of small/medium engineering projects.
Key responsibilities
• Prepare project budgets
• Compile project costs from many sources
• Monitor project expenditure against budget
• Prepare monthly reports on actual project costs and progress
• Investigate and reconcile material usage and cost variances
• Close completed projects from Work in Progress to completed assets
• Design and implement procedures and controls, to best international standards, around the management of projects and use of funds
• Manage relationships with internal and external partners
Job requirement
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Finance), Commerce or associated discipline
• Internationally recognized professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA(U))
• 3 years in Project Control in engineering, construction or related industry
• Or financial audit experience with clients in engineering, construction or related industry

• Self driven strategic thinker, requiring minimum supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Proven capability to use initiative and implement creative solutions
