Pastiche is a new local foods business that makes a vegetarian grain
and seed pate. Primarily selling to Farmer’s Markets, the product is
just starting to expand into retail. Our mission is to create a

and your community. As the business grows we are looking for a great
team member to whom we want to provide valuable employment in a great
work environment.
We are seeking a ‘Production and Packaging Assistant’ as well as
someone interested in taking on the running of a market booth in
various locations across the city.
Duties and Skills:
Farmer’s Market Staff:
• Be pro-active, detail oriented and great with people.
• You need to be a fabulous, engaging salesperson and believe in what
the markets and our product have to offer. Having fun with this is
key, and truly enjoying the banter and the environment of the markets
is essential.
• You will need to be flexible with your schedule, but you can expect
Saturdays and Sundays to be ongoing market days–there is flexibility
with scheduling however.
• Be comfortable with lifting and loading in equipment and working in
an outdoor environment–rain or shine!
• Have your foodsafe certificate (or willing to get one) and a valid
driver’s licence.
Production Work:
• Help with preparation of materials for pate production. This could
be setting up trays, greasing rings, peeling onions, baking, learning
the ropes
• Help to package product and manage packaging stock; ensure product
quality and consistency.
• Other light duties as required such as deliveries.
Production days are flexible and would be for about 1 to 2 days a
week, but there is the possibility to expand these hours into a full
time position if you are able to do markets and if there is interest.
