Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Registered Nurse; (AHPRA – Nursing and
Midwifery) - Minimum of 5 years post-registration
experience with at least 2 years at clinical nurse level - Sound knowledge of Parkinson’s disease
- A Class Drivers’ Licence
Desirable:
- Appropriate post-graduate qualifications
- Experience in neurological or geriatric
settings - Experience in a community-based practice
- Membership of relevant professional
organisations
Abilities and Knowledge:
- The ability to impart information in
one-to-one, small and large group - The ability to consult with senior nursing,
medical and administration staff in a client advocacy role - The ability to collate records of work
activities - The ability to work autonomously
- The ability to function effectively either
independently, as part of a team and with volunteers - High standard of interpersonal skills
including negotiation and conflict resolution - A demonstrated capacity to show empathy
