25 hours/week for 10 weeks, starting May 9.
$10.50/hour
This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and a willingness and ability to speak to groups of adults. Knowledge of and demonstrated interest in environmental issues definitely an asset. Training will be provided.
Job duties include:
• Gaining a thorough understanding (through training) of organic lawn care techniques and rationale;
• Organizing and implementing public workshops on organic lawn care in various neighbourhoods throughout the city;
• Publicizing the workshops and the benefits of organic lawn care through assorted media;
• Responding to inquiries and questions about organic lawn care;
• Staffing displays at community events around the city to promote organic lawn care;
• Conducting an evaluative survey of workshop participants.
