Nur- School of Public Health Job Vacancy in Rwanda

Job Details
The School of Public Health is recruiting the fifth cohort of fellows for RHPIFP. The program is designed to prepare a select group of recent Rwandan graduates to work as program managers in the not-for-profit sector supporting HIV-AIDS prevention, care and treatment programs in Rwanda.

The fellowship program will provide in-country training and on-job experience to Rwandan new professionals while preparing them for leadership in the not-for-profit sector. Selected fellows will be placed in paid internships with local host agencies and supervised by more experienced professionals in the area of their fellowship. The fellowship placement will be a guaranteed period of 9 months, with possibility of extension based on the availability of funds.

Requirements
– Applicants must have graduated in the past 2 years, between 2009 and 2011 from any university or institution of higher learning in Rwanda or elsewhere with a degree (minimum ‘licence’) or A0 diploma in social sciences, management, political science, law, public administration and/or any other relevant academic field;
– Must not be older than 30 years (not born before 1981);
– Must have an interest in public health issues including AIDS;
– Must be willing to perform any tasks assigned by the host agency;
– Must be interested in a career in the public sector;
– Must be dynamic and willing to work as an intern under supervision and
– Must be fluent in English, French and Kinyarwanda.

Interested candidates should submit the following:
– An application statement in English*:
– A certified copy of the diploma and the transcript showing grades obtained in the last year (see application guidelines);
– A detailed typed Curriculum Vitae in English or French;
– A letter of recommendation from a teacher who has known the candidate in an academic context.
*Guidelines for the application statement should be picked up from the School of Public Health (SPH) Office, located at the former Kicukiro Training Center (KTC)

The complete application package should be returned to the SPH not later than October 31, 2011 at 5:00 pm in a closed envelope and addressed to: HIV-AIDS Public Interest Fellowship Program, Attention: Director SPH, Kigali, Rwanda.
