institution, Northcote Social Club sits within an exciting group of venues that
includes The Corner and The National Hotel. Situated on bustling High St
with live music at its core, the venue has a variety of spaces suited to casual
dining, functions and events. Recent renovations saw many of the spaces receive
a substantial facelift and with stage two renovations set in the near future,
Northcote Social Club is flush with opportunities for growth in 2016.
Your
responsibilities will include and not be limited to:
- Preparing
great food in an awesome venue! - Supporting
the Head Chef in all day to day operations of the kitchen - Managing
the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef - Working
in and managing all sections of the kitchen - Working
as a team and leading with a positive attitude - Following
all company processes & procedures - Complying
with all health & safety procedures - Assisting
the head chef with menu development
To be successful in
this role, you must possess:
- A
genuine passion for your trade - A ‘can
do’ positive attitude - A hands
on approach to your duties - Experience
within a variety of kitchen and service styles, with high volume preferred - Excellent
communication with both kitchen peers and FOH staff - The
ability to constantly innovate and find ways to become more efficient - Good
knowledge of cost control, menu design, OH&S & HACCP compliance
