The National University of Rwanda (NUR) Centre for Arts and Drama wishes to recruit Rwandan qualified staff. Below are the specific duties and job requirements for each position:

1) MODERN MUSIC SPECIALIST
Tasks and responsibilities:
• To manage the Modern Music/Percussions workshop of UCAD
• Be able to teach modern music/Percussion theory and practice at UCAD
• Teach Modern percussion music Instruments at UCAD
• To manage and update the equipping of The Modern Music/percussion workshop.
• Participate in the Proposition of workshop partners
• Systematic accounting of all UCAD Modern Music/percussion Workshop assets

CORE COMPETENCES
Bachelors degree in Modern Music percussion with at least two years of experience
Management skills: clear vision of purpose, goal focus, planning
Communication skills: listening, efficient talking and writing
Creativity: solution finding oriented
Team work skills

2) MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
The Marketing and Communications Officer will deal with the following:
• Organize the communication and marketing aspect of the unit’s activities in general
• Outline and propose clear communication and marketing strategies for UCAD
• Efficient implementation of the proposed strategies of communication and marketing
• Proposition of potential communication and marketing partners
• Prior and timely advertisement of UCAD activities and events

CORE COMPETENCES
Bachelors degree in marketing and communication or related courses with at least two years of experience
A must that you know how to play and teach at least more than 3 traditional instruments.
Management skills: clear vision of purpose, goal focus, planning
Communication skills: listening, efficient talking and writing
Creativity: solution finding oriented
Team work skills

3) DRAMA SPECIALIST WHOSE DUTIES ARE:
• To manage the Theatre workshop of UCAD
• Be able to teach theatre theory and practice at UCAD
• To manage and update the equipping of Theatre workshop at UCAD
• Participate in the Proposition Theatre partners
• Systematic accounting of all UCAD theatre assets

CORE COMPETENCES
Bachelors degree in Drama with at least two years of experience
Management skills: clear vision of purpose, goal focus, planning
Communication skills: listening, efficient talking and writing
Creativity: solution finding oriented
Team work skills
