Administration
Install and enforce strong
monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure accountability in the management of
NAC’s Funds, Supervise all NAC Finance and Administration activities and all
fiduciary functions, Account for all the Commission’s income,
expenditure, assets and grant funding in acc
ordance with professional
accounting practices, Produce accurate and timely financial reports in
accordance with development partners’ requirements, Co-ordinate the
preparation and when necessary revision of annual budgets and consolidation
thereof, and provide all departments with approved budgets, Communicate with
and answer queries raised by management, development partners and government
concerning financial and administrative matters, Obtain monthly funding
requirements from various NAC departments and make reasonable monthly cash
requirement forecasts for smooth running of activities of NAC, Maintain a sound
accounting system that gives reasonable assurance that records and controls are
sufficient to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information
An ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA, MBA or
postgraduate qualification in Economics, At least 10 yrs post qualification
experience in accounting and finance management with experience of donor funded
programmes/projects, Knowledge of government and computerised accounting
systems (a necessity), Drive, results-oriented, excellent communication
Verifiable track record, analytical and interpersonal skills, A good grasp of
the causes and impact and current issues pertaining to HIV/AIDS in general in
Malawi and the world, Extensive experience in finance and administration of a
dynamic organisation, with cooperating partners, public sector, NGOs and the private
sector
