(Saturday and Sunday classes)

Monash College, a wholly owned subsidiary of Monash University, is a global
leader in transition education with operations in Australia, Malaysia,
Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Singapore and China.

Monash College is seeking an experienced Trainer to join the organisation
focusing on delivering our Professional Year (PY) Program and related programs.
The PY Program is a 30 week prescribed pro

gram delivered on a part-time basis
with 8 contact hours per week.

Monash Professional Pathways is a division of Monash College Pty Ltd (MCPL) and
we provide work ready pathway programs for international students who have
graduated in and now wish to find employment in Australia.

Reporting to the Program lead Education the successful applicant will be
responsible for:

• Delivering a prescribed training program (including marking and contributing
to curriculum review and redevelopment projects)
• Providing quality student support to international students
• Providing timely & accurate reporting and effective record management
• Effectively utilising technology in the program
• Contributing to improvement processes & professional training culture

Key Selection Criteria

Position Skills

• Proven track record delivering adult training programs and knowledge of adult
training principles
• Ability to manage and complete all associated record keeping in a timely
manner and to a high standard
• Knowledge of continuous improvement models and strong focus on quality
• Ability to engage with a culturally diverse group and make training relevant
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Interpersonal Skills

• Proven ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships
• Commitment to welcome change/improvement and implement innovation
• Ability to effectively liaise and coordinate with Program Lead Education and
Associate Director to maximize learner experience.

Specialist Knowledge

• Demonstrated knowledge of the special needs of international students wanting
to enter the Australian workforce

Technical Skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package
• Knowledge of Learning Management System (i.e. Moodle) and online
collaborative sites (i.e. WIKI)

Qualifications/Experience

• Undergraduate degree

Highly Desirable

• Experience working in a business environment
• TESOL/CELTA teaching qualification and knowledge of ESL teaching methodology
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Experience delivering training to learners from non-English speaking
backgrounds

Remuneration

You will be paid the following rates:
• Saturday: Hourly rate of $87.39
• Sunday: Hourly rate of $94.99
• Non-teaching duties: Hourly rate of $47.50
