Job Objective
The
Internal Financial Controller is responsible for the supervision of accounting
processes and financial performance of the company. Additionally, the incumbent
will be in charge of designing and developing new procedures to assure that the
financial activities of the company are legal and adhering to the Rwandan tax
law.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:
- Initiate payment of all incoming
invoices - Initiate employees’ monthly payrolls
- Responsibility for MTN Mobile Money
accounts and all transactions - Reviews general ledger accounts for
accuracy and monitors accountants´ performances in all Rwandan Regional
Hubs - Establishing of a small scale
accounting process in the Regional Hubs - Guarantee liquidity and access to
financial means - Communication with Berlin to request
loans - Transfer of money between various
accounts - Assure sufficient access to cash
reserve - Development of company budget plan
and implementation of department budgets - Monitoring of budgets, e.g.
projects, departments, monthly, and yearly - Contact person for large
expenditures, e.g. purchase of a vehicle, renovations, marketing events - Contact person for accountants to
provide guidance and assistants - Contact person for project
management regarding tax and expense issues - Contact person for Germany related
to all finance and accounting enquiries - Monitoring of all sales, income and
cash flow within the database - Responsible for financial project
reporting - Work with German HQ and Project
Managers to prepare monthly budget forecasts - Work closely with the accountants
and tax consultant to prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly reports - Responsible for annual financial
reporting and annual year-end closeout and preparation of documentation
for annual audits - Preparation of outbound invoices
related to export of goods
Work / information Process
The
Internal Financial Controller directly reports to the Financial Controller in
Germany and the Managing Director in Rwanda. The incumbent will also closely
work and communicate with the Heads of Departments in order to guarantee a
thorough accounting process, credit assessment process and financial
controlling of the company´s performance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor / Master Degree in Business
Administration or Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting/Financial Management
option) or equivalent qualification in relevant subject. - Possession of ACCA or CPA will be an
added advantage. - At least 6+years of experience.
