The Government of Rwanda has secured a two (02) year grant
from the Swedish International
Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) through the One UN to
advance and sustain gender equality gains in Rwanda. The programme will be
implemented under a joint programme framework between the National Gender
Machinery and the One UN in Rwanda. The main objective of this programme is to
accelerate and sustain gender equality gains in Rwanda.
The joint programme brings together four (4) institutions
that make up the National Gender
Machinery in Rwanda namely, the Ministry of Gender and
Family Promotion (MIGEPROF), the Gender Monitoring Office (GMO), the National
Women’s Council (NWC) and the Rwanda
Women Parliamentary Forum (FFRP) and is articulated around
4 key strategic priorities:
i) Institutional strengthening of the National Gender
Machinery; (ii) Grounding gender equality in policies, programmes and budgets
at all levels; (iii) Strengthening accountability mechanisms for gender
equality across all Sectors and Districts and; (iv) Increasing access to
productive resources for vulnerable women.
It is in the above context that the MIGEPROF would like to
invite qualified senior technical personnel to apply for the following vacant
posts of the above mentioned joint programme.

Masters degree (or equivalent) in public policy management, gender policy analysis, economies, international relations, social sciences, gender and development issues or other relevant discipline with a three (03) years working experience in the related domain. A bachelor’s degree holder in above mentioned fields with a minimum of five (05) years of experience is also acceptable. Strong experience in strategic planning and policy formulation. Experience in mobilization and policy advocacy at all levels. Experience in alliance and partnership building. Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda with a working knowledge of French is an essential requirement for the position. Very good understanding of gender and family promotion issues at all levels of policy influence. Good at research, negotiation and possess high analytical and writing skills. Ability to identify, obtain and analyze information from a variety of sources. Sound knowledge of government Systems and procedures is an asset. |
