Treasury Operations Expert (2)
Key
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting
to the Deputy Accountant General in charge of Treasury Management, the Treasury
Operation Expert will be responsible for:
• Carrying
out regulatory control on the payment orders in view of approving and effecting
their payment;
• Transmitting the payment vouchers approved to BNR for payment;
• Returning to Ministries/Agencies payment orders that require corrections.
• Verifying the balance between the revenue and expenditure in order to
establish an equilibrium between the two;
• Receiving and recording payment vouchers;
• Carrying out verifications on the payment vouchers;
• Preparing weekly reports on the status of payment orders under your
verification.
• Approving payment vouchers and transmitting them for signature to the
Deputy Accountant General in charge of Treasury Management;
• Establishing signed delivery payment vouchers;
• Verifying movements in the government accounts;
• Verifying effected payments in all government-managed accounts.
Qualification
and Competencies
• A
university degree in Finance or other related fields notably Management,
Accounting or Economics from a recognized university. A master’s degree in any
of the above subjects is an added advantage;
• Holder of ACCA, CPA or equivalent is an advantage;
• At least 3 years of practical experience in financial management in a
reputable organisation;
• Good analytical and problem solving skills;
• Attention to detail;
• Good planning and organisational skills;
• Good oral and written communication skills;
• Fluency in English and/or French with working knowledge of the other
language;
• Proficient in MS Office suite of packages.
