Established in 1987, my client the parent
company, was engaged in one of Queensland’s most significant social and
economic change projects which served as the catalyst for its birth and
continuing growth into one of the states finest multi-disciplinary project
delivery consultancies.
Capitalizing on market opportunity and their
industry specific reach the business launched an independently bra
nded
recruitment entity as a specialist technical recruitment group resourcing
for projects largely across the construction, mining, resource and energy,
infrastructure and engineering, and property development sectors. The brand
of this business has been reasonably well established in the market and the
agency albeit small has performed well given the current market and
economic conditions. The parent company wishes to maintain it’s recruitment
business’ boutique identity but is strongly focussed on broadening it’s
reach into a number of other stable industries and sectors which could
include professional services areas such as IT and Banking and Finance to
name a few.
The appointment of an experienced recruitment
manager will provide the strategic leadership, management and drive to grow
this business to a sensible and sustainable size. You will play a key role
in structuring the business from a physical, procedural and cultural
perspective and your experience in successful remuneration and reward
structures for recruitment business’ will lay the foundation to recruit,
grow and maintain a team of highly successful consultants.
An attractive package will be negotiated with
the successful appointee comprising of a fixed and at risk component.
A directorship, executive team membership and other attractive
conditions are all areas for discussion. A successful track record of
managing a commercial recruitment business evidenced by your longevity of
appointment is mandatory. Broader management experience and exposure to the
engineering/construction sectors could be an advantage.
