BUYER
Job Summary
Reporting to Procurement Supervisor, the successful incumbent will be required
to execute transactional aspects of the procurem
ent department with the
objective of securing quality goods and services at the lowest possible cost in
accordance with Majwe Mining Joint Venture procurement policies and procedures.

Key
Responsibilities
- Ensure
purchase orders are raised and captured in time - Recommend
improvements in the procurement system - Filing
of procurement information records and adherence to proper audit trail - Continuously
seek new, competitive and best value for money suppliers - Interaction
with suppliers and maintain a professional and effective relationship - Continuously
chase suppliers in terms of deliveries and update end users on the status
of their order - Update
of the order tracking spreadsheet daily to ensure accurate tracking of
purchase orders in terms of goods delivery, Invoices received and payments
made - Keep
record of all procurement correspondence and purchase records - Timely
payment to suppliers for goods and services
Job
Requirements
- Diploma
or Degree in Supply Chain Management - Membership
of a Procurement Professional body (CIPS) - 3 years
post qualification experience in Supply Chain Management within Contract
Mining Environment

Ltd. has been engaged as a Contractor for the Cut 8 Contract Mining – Phase 2
Project by Debswana at the Jwaneng Mine. This project commenced in November
2011, to move over 400 million tons of waste material to expand the current
mine and it is an important contribution to the economy of Botswana.
