Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior
Human Resources Superintendent
, the incumbent will ensure that
employee benefits are delivered and coordinated as per company rules and
regulations, accurately and on time. They will also provide an accurate HR
reporting for the organization with useful and meaningful reports that will
guide effective decision making and effective analysis to inform trend
identification and forecasting.

Requirements

Key
Responsibilities

  • Provides
    first level application and operations support to users of HR system (VIP
    & Premier HR), this includes problem identification & resolution,
    local and report system support, reporting and user training.
  • Ensures
    the accuracy and quality of HR system information as used by management,
    third party administrators and regulatory authorities. Includes monitoring
    and analyzing HR information flow through manual and automated processes
  • Supervises
    and coordinates monthly payroll runs for both employee groups ensuring
    timely and accurate payment of salaries
  • Writes,
    maintains, supports and delivers a variety of reports or queries utilizing
    appropriate reporting tools.
  • Analyzes
    remuneration philosophy and prevailing wage rates to develop competitive
    remuneration plan.
  • Develops
    a human asset management framework to attract and retain critical skills
  • Conducts
    market surveys to determine organization’s competitiveness
  • Analyzes
    data from market surveys and make recommendations to management.
  • Maintains
    an equitable pay structure across the organization
  • Designs
    a rates/allowances manual for proper application at all times
  • Designs,
    evaluates and modifies benefits procedures to ensure that programs are
    current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements
  • Supports
    subordinates’ development so that they are suitably competent, skilled and
    equipped to achieve output requirements.

Job
Requirements

  • Degree in
    Human Resources Management/Finance/Accounting/Social Sciences Degree from
    a reputable university.
  • 5 – 10
    years’ experience in a dynamic environment 4 of which should have been at
    a supervisory level
  • Knowledge
    and experience working on VIP payroll & Premier HR system – non
    negotiable
  • Payroll
    management experience is essential
  • Class B
    Driver’s License is essential
  • Impressive
    and good interpersonal skills

Contract Mining – Phase 2 Project by Debswana at the Jwaneng Mine. This project
commenced in November 2011, to move over 400 million tons of waste material to
expand the current mine and it is an important contribution to the economy of
Botswana.
