Our School of Business, Biosciences and Justice Studies has a teaching opportunity within the Police Foundations Program, commencing August 2011.

Police Foundations Program
Belleville, ON

Reporting to the Dean, School of Justice Studies, you will teach a variety of courses, in the areas of crime prevention, law enforcement and public education, within the College’s two-year Police Foundations diploma program. You will also be a key resource to students in their preparation as law enforcement agents.

To qualify as a Professor in the Police Foundations Program, you must have:
* a minimum of a diploma (a degree is an asset) in a justice-related field of study
* currency within the field as demonstrated by at least 5 years of significant, recent experience in a Canadian law enforcement service
* an excellent grounding in the best practice, and emerging, knowledge, skills (both legal and technological) and attitudes in criminal law enforcement
* an ability to effectively support field placement learning
* the ability to support the success of a diverse range of learners in the program
* a proven commitment to achieving, and developing in others, excellence as a practitioner and lifelong learner in the field.
* Experience in developing, delivering and evaluating appropriate curriculum would be considered an asset.
