candidate of Logistics & Maintenance Officer under the following conditions:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Logistics Unit, the Logistics and maintenance Officer will be responsible for:
• Receiving, storing and issuing of ministry supplies
• Making entries of stock in and stock out in the stores soft ware.
• Organizing a period physical counting of inventory
• Preparation of a report of inventories as required by the law
• Monitoring the re-order of items in the stock and informing the Director.
• Managing the transportation requirements of the ministry
• Managing-the Fixed Asset Register of the Ministry by tracking all movements of Assets, removal and sell of old Assets and subsequent entry of new ones
• Managing and spear heading the execution of all maintenance contracts and making sure that MINECOFIN staff work in good environment
Qualification and Competencies:
• Bachelor´s degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration; having a Master´s degree in the above fields with 2 years experience in a reputable organization will be an added advantage;
• Possession of a qualification in stores management;
• Attention to detail;
• Commitment to quality;
• Good planning and organisational skills;
• Good interpersonal skills;
• Be result oriented and demonstrate integrity;
• Proficiency in MS Office suite of packages.
• Fluency in English and/or French with a working knowledge of the other language.
• Ability to work under pressure and respect deadlines Ability to establish effective working relations with other units
