Integrator (CSI) for Australia’s Future Submarine fleet. The Future Submarine
Program will be the largest Defence procurement program in Australia’s history
and represents an investment in the order of $50 billion in Australia’s

Joining the Lockheed Martin Australia Future Submarine CSI team offers a

Lockheed Martin will lead a multi-disciplined team comprised of Lockheed Martin
Australia engineers supported by our local Australian industry partners and
will have stakeholders throughout the globe.
Current Opportunities – Senior Logistics (ILS) Engineers (2 roles)
Supported by the ILS Lead and the growing ILS Program team, this position will
work as an integral member of the Future Submarine Combat System Integrator
(CSI) Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team as a Logistics Engineer focusing
on RAM, LCC and Spares Optimisation.
As a rewarding and challenging role, you will provide guidance to project
management, ILS Lead, project staff, CoA customer and Naval Group counterparts.
Some of the activities this role will undertake are:
- Working
collaboratively with the CoA and Platform System Integrator to establish,
develop and maintain the Combat System (CS) RAM/FMECA, LCC and Sparing
models; identifying needs, determining indenture and model structure, and
population and analysis of data - Collaborate
with system and design engineers and major system suppliers to develop CS
RAM models - Develop
and maintain RAM and FMECA models, perform analysis, and provide expertise
to influence design through concept and detail CS design program phases - Develop
and maintain LCC and Sparing models; identifying and analysing logistics
drivers, performing sensitivity analysis, undertaking trade-off analysis
to optimise design and logistics decisions - Generate
CS RAM, FMECA, LCC and Sparing analysis related reports and documents
detailing results of conducted analysis - In
collaboration with Systems Engineering; undertake requirements Functional
Analysis processes and techniques for the derivation of requirements,
develop key requirements in the CS Specification and trace to Functional
Performance Specification, support development of the Common Product
Breakdown - Assist
the ILS Lead to the develop and update processes and procedures to ensure
successful management of all FSM CSI RAM/FMECA, LCC and Spares analysis
activities
You will have skills and experience in:
- Relevant
Logistics Engineering experience within a professional ILS environment - Technical
expertise in the application of Reliability, Maintainability and
Availability (RAM) and Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis
(FMECA) to engineering projects in the Defence industry - Technical
expertise in the application of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis and Spares
modelling to engineering projects in the Defence industry - Experience
with analysing needs and system requirements, and allocation to
specifications, in relation to RAM and Support Engineering - A
tertiary degree in an Engineering field such as (electronic, electrical,
maritime, computer systems or mechatronic) would be also highly
desirable
