Our client is one of Australia’s leading law firms with an outstanding reputation in their market. They employ over 500 people nationally and pride ourselves on their commitment to developing all of their people through an extensive programme of Learning and Development activities.
An opportunity has become available to join their Melbourne L&D team. This is a challenging role in which you will be offered opportunities to contribute your L&D expertise across a wide range of areas and will include:
• Supporting their legal skills programmes for both experienced and graduate level lawyers
• Designing and delivering a broad range of people and business skills- related training
• Developing innovative online and blended delivery approaches and tools
• Supporting their career planning, promotion and resilience programmes
• Liaising with Practice Leaders, Team Leaders, Directors and Support teams to identify training needs and develop targeted training programmes
• Supporting strategic firm initiatives through training and communication
Reporting to the National L&D Manager, you will have both support and autonomy in this role. You will be offered opportunities to design and deliver in-house training as well as identify external training offerings and liaise with suppliers.
You will therefore need to be an outstanding communicator who thrives on engaging with a wide range of people with very different learning and development needs. You will need to be able to adapt to different audiences, but above all you will present as highly confident and professional with a real affinity for people.
To satisfy the needs of this position you will be degree qualified and must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar role obtained in a major law firm or similar professional services environment (financial services, management consulting etc). You must be able to demonstrate extensive experience delivering training across a range of subject areas and will have very high level oral and written communication capabilities.
