Position title: Community Support Coordinator

Compensation: This is a full-time position with the equivalent of 40
hours a week. Compensation is variable depending on experience and
organizational fit.

Start date: August 1st, 2015 pending criminal record check (negotiable).

Leadnow.ca is looking for a friendly, energetic, patient,
self-directed Community Support Coordinator with strong communication
and organizational skills and a passion for Canadian politics and
social movements. This position involves both fundraising and
administrative support for our team online and offline.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate small donor stewardship, including processing and
updating donations, communicating with donors, and working with other
staff to support effective fundraising efforts
• Work with the Operations team to manage invoices and filing, support
compliance with relevant regulations, and create and implement new
administrative and operational systems as needed
• Support effective communications with people from the Leadnow
community, including answering phone messages, responding to emails,
and reading and responding to mail
• Provide orientation and logistical support to staff and volunteers
on administrative and operational processes and practices
• Coordinate administrative responsibilities in our Vancouver office
such as picking up mail, processing invoices, and assisting our
Executive Director in scheduling and preparing for meetings, technical
support and other administrative tasks
• Work with our Director of Engagement to summarize community feedback
through research, analysis, reports and briefing notes
• Prepare agendas and facilitate staff meetings for our online team

Desired skills and attributes:
• Strong experience communicating with volunteers, supporters, and/or
donors, preferably in a non-profit organization
• Familiarity with fundraising and online donation systems
• Experience in customer service or related sector
• Extreme meticulousness & organizational skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new processes
• Strong written and spoken communication in English, including a
polite, articulate, and friendly phone manner
• Friendly and positive outlook
• Enjoys extensive email and phone communication as regular part of work
• Ability to work independently from home or reliably as part of a
team; often in an online format
• Tactful and open to understanding other perspectives
• Confident problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Self-directed, self-starting work style
• Ability to research information and summarize key details
• Ability to work with staff, Board members and donors with tact and diplomacy

Assets:
• Strong spoken and/or written French
• Financial administration / bookkeeping experience
• Knowledge of Canadian politics
• Experience with small donor fundraising or in fund development
• Experience with online systems such as Trello, Xero, Skype and Paypal
